  18. Pilot briefing: take control of your
  19. GR9 harrier jet and navigate through
  20. the terrorist occupied territory.
  21. Your task is to clear the way for
  22. ground forces by destroying as many
  23. of their land and air defences as
  24. possible. The GR9 Harrier can be
  25. controlled with a joystick connected
  26. to port 2 and the run stop key will
  27. pause the assault at any point when
  28. the player is in control of the
  29. plane. Pressing the Q key from pause
  30. mode will abort the current mission.

  32. GR9 Strike Force was developed for
  33. the Retro Reunited event (12th to
  34. 13th September 2009) in Huddersfield,
  35. U.K. and stars the lucky winner of a
  36. door prize at the event, who was
  37. given a silly hat to wear before
  38. being photographed, converted and
  39. inserted into the game (and "loading"
  40. picture) live at the event by T.M.R!
  41. There are plans for a second release
  42. of this game at some point fairly
  43. soon, which will extend the current
  44. levels and add a fourth, memory
  45. permitting.

  47. Trivia: the first player to complete
  48. GR9 Strike Force (not including
  49. T.M.R) was Retro Gamer editor Darran
  50. Jones, playing it as part of a high
  51. score competition at Retro Reunited
  52. itself on the Sunday.
